In accordance with the guidelines established in the seventh section of Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s Executive Order issued on July 15, 2020, Stockbridge Tae Kwon Do Academy (STKD) will be implementing several procedures to help guard against the spread of COVID-19. We will be exercising the utmost caution at our facility while still keeping our doors open for our loyal students and to parents in need of an enriching childcare option for the upcoming 2020 school year. Below is a summarized list of the procedures we will be implementing. You can also view the entire list within the context of the aforementioned executive order here.

  1. Signage will be placed prominently at all entrances to the building that instructs students that they cannot enter if they have been diagnosed with COVID-19, have exhibited symptoms of COVID-19, or have had contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19 within the past fourteen (14) days.
  2. Signage will be placed prominently throughout the building that instructs students of sanitation procedures and social distancing requirements.
  3. All STKD staff and students will be evaluated for symptoms of COVID-19 and will have their temperatures screened before entering the building. Any such evaluated and screened person who exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 or a fever above 100.4 degrees (F) will be barred from entering the building.
  4. Any person who develops symptoms of COVID-19—or develops a fever above 100.4 degrees (F)—while on the STKD premises will be immediately separated from the group, and will be required to leave the premises as soon as practicable.
  5. Any STKD employee or student who has stayed home sick, who has been prevented from entering the building due to COVID-19 symptoms, or who has been sent home due to symptoms of COVID-19 will be prohibited from returning to STKD until they have either:
    1. had a negative COVID-19 test, OR
    2. have been fever-free and fever-medication-free for seventy-two (72) hours, other COVID-19 symptoms have improved, and at least ten (10) days have passed since symptoms of COVID-19 first appeared.
  6. Parents dropping off and picking up their children will be required to remain in their vehicles. Students will be escorted to and from the building by staff members.
  7. A contactless system of check-in and check-out will be implemented for all students.
  8. A system of staggered drop-off and pick-up times for students will be implemented if practicable.
  9. All STKD employees and students will be required to use hand sanitizer upon entering the building.
  10. All unnecessary visitors to the STKD premises will be prohibited from entering the building.
  11. All in-person facility tours will be discontinued.
  12. All STKD staff will be trained on how to identify COVID-19 symptoms in students, the process of properly removing an ill student, and infection mitigation procedures to perform in such an event.
  13. An isolation area will be designated for sick employees or students.
  14. Spaces where six (6) feet social distancing procedures cannot be feasibly be maintained will be limited to at most 50 persons. Social distancing will be enforced wherever else possible and practicable.
  15. All students will be provided separate designated spaces to store personal belongings for the duration of their time at STKD.
  16. All bathrooms, equipment, and frequently touched surfaces within the STKD building will be regularly, frequently, and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized every day and throughout each day.
  17. Students will be required to regularly use hand sanitizer while in the building, and will be required to wash their hands before consuming any food and after every restroom break.
  18. For the Remote-Learning Day Camp, all students will be required to bring their own lunches (and their own snacks if they do not intend to purchase snacks from the STKD facility). Sharing of any food between students and staff will be STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  19. STKD employees will be required to wear gloves when assisting students with opening items from meals and snacks.
  20. PPE will be provided to STKD employees, and STKD students will be welcome to bring their own PPE to STKD.
